This penthouse apartment sits atop South Yarra’s development and features amazing views of Melburne’s busy city skyline. This apartment’s interior is designed by Dutch architects, i29. It features two storeys and four people live there. Thanks to using original laser cuts panels in the kitchen and other areas of the apartment, the interior looks quite creative and unusual. Besides the laser cut panels there are also other things that makes it unique, including built-in storage solutions and designers furniture. Before the renovation, the apartment had a lot of rooms but it become a spacious, transparent dwelling full of light and air. Upstairs the master bedroom is situated next to a large bathroom with a finish of structured tiles from Patricia Urquola, glass, and wooden cabinets.

This modern and colorful apartment is designed by Carla Basich and has quite small size. It’s about 70 square meters but there is everything needed for contemporary lifestyle. Although it isn’t only practical and functional but also charming and sweet. It shows how even small rooms with low ceilings could be elegantly decorated. In order to make the interior look modern a lot of glossy furniture were used. The black and white color theme could be seen almost in every room but it’s always dilute by other colors to make these rooms more warm and livable. Because the space is at a premium the furniture is very thoughtful. It provides enough storage and even could hide some appliances like the air conditioner at the living room and the microwave at the kitchen. In case you need some ideas of decorating a small living space in modern style then check out the photos below.
